Aviation and Marine Control is a high requirement field. The safety is the most important. Then the control panel's durability and high quality is vital here. It must be waterproof and can Aviation and Marine control 4.jpgwithstand harsh climate changes. For example the high temperature and very low temperature, salty moist atmosphere, directly strong sunshine with constant UV exposure, directly rain, chemical, oil dirty, vacuum environment etc. For these aviation control and marine control applications, LUPHITOUCH make the following suggests for the membrane keypad or rubber keypad control panels:

 

1) For Membrane Keypads:                                   

  1.1 The overlay material must be high quality corrosion resisting, anti-UV PET;

  1.2) The keypad structure must be waterproof–meet IP67 and NEMA-4 standards;

  1.3) It is better to use FPC or PCB circuit to replace the common silver printed PET circuit;

  1.4) When assemble our membrane keypads on to you devices, try best to use melt adhesive or others to seal all slots;

  1.5) Before navigation, check the function of the control panel to confirm whether it is correctly working or not;

  1.6) Make daily safety production checking. Once found any abrasions or other potential risk, use new keypad to replace the old one;

 

2) For rubber keypads: Aviation and Marine control 3.jpg

   2.1) Use high quality silicone rubber material;

   2.2) Make post-cure processing;

   2.3) Design the wrap sides to seal the circuit in it;

   2.4) Use PCB/FPC circuit to replace the silver printed PET circuit;

   2.5) Make clear PU coating on keypad surface;

   2.6) When assemble our membrane keypads on to you devices, try best to use melt adhesive or others to seal all slots;

   2.7) Before navigation, check the function of the control panel to confirm whether it is correctly working or not;

   2.8) Make daily safety production checking. Once found any abrasions or other potential risk, use new keypad to replace the old one;

Rubber keypads itself has good touch feeling and good reliability. Usually the rubber keypad are not easy damaged, the users need pay more attention on the circuit layer underneath. If occurred any potential risks use the new circuit to replace the old one or change the whole keypad assemblies.  


For this special application, especially for the marine control application, it is better for you to give the whole control panel assemblies to LUPHITOUCH for manufacturing, which is convenient for LUPHITOUCH to design the best waterproof method and do the final assembly parts waterproof testing.
