What is a Backplate Membrane Switch?
A backplate(or called backpanel) membrane switch is a type of switch structure that adds a backplate to the basic membrane switch. A membrane switch is made using membrane materials and typically consists of multiple layers of film and conductive layers. The backplate can provide additional mechanical support and protection by attaching a hard material (backplate) to the back of the membrane switch.
