Touchscreen Panels
In nowadays the common used are FGS and GGS. If divide the touchscreen panel by the leads on the cable, it can be divided into 4 wires, 5 wires, 7 wires, and 8 wires resistive touchscreens.
Capacitive touchscreen is a four-layer composite glass screen that works using the human body's current induction. Capacitive touchscreen panels can be divided into two types.
They are surface capacitive touchscreen and projection capacitive touchscreen.

Resistive Touchscreen Panels
Its screen and control system are relatively cheap. The response sensitivity is very good. Whether it is a four-wire resistance touch screen or a five-wire resistance touch screen, they are a completely isolated working environment to the outside world, not afraid of dust and water be penetrated in, so it can adapt to a variety of harsh environments. In addition, it can be touched with any object and has good stability.
The 4 wires and 5 wires resistive touchscreen is suitable for PDA handheld device, GPS satellite positioning system, industrial control system, POS, financial terminal, information query machine, medical instrument service system, interactive teaching system etc. As to 8 wires resistive touchscreen, it's more difficult to manufacture and its cost is also much higher than 4 wires and 5 wires.
Resistive touchscreens have high accuracy and high resolution features. Its resolution can be high to 4096x4096. By the way, resistive touch screen won't be impacted by the dust, water, oil etc. during its using. It can be applied both in high and low temperature environments. Due to the resistive touchscreen uses pressure sensing technology, so it can be touched with any object, even wearing gloves also can operate it.
Capacitive Touchscreen Panels
This kind of touchscreen panels is one of the very common and important interface input components for many electronic devices. It is not like the resisitve touchscreen which need use a force to press the screen. It just need light touch on screen then will trigger the function. Capacitive touchscreens require only one correction or no correction at all after production, while resistive technologies require regular correction. Capacitive touchscreens are also have more longer life than resistive ones. This depends on their structure. In addition, the capacitive one are also have more better performance on light loss and system power consumption. But if there is water, dust, oil etc. on its screen, then it will impact its operation.
The capacitive touchscreens are widely used in consumer electronics, smart wearing devices, beauty devices, smart home, household appliances etc.
Capacitive touch screen can be multi-touched. Especially it can be slided touch. This kind of advantage makes it can be used on current smart or intelligent devices, electrical cars, intelligent kitchen devices etc.

Features: COB LCM is more expensive than COG one. Its size is also bigger, which is usually used for small lot size production. COB module is easy to fix and has low MOQ requirement and short lead time. COB module's height usually can be 8~13mm around.
