About PCBA

The printed circuit board is just a kind of bare board which couldn't perform any function. Only after assembled all designed components, then the circuit board just has function. To assemble components to bare circuit board is just the circuit board assembly. It can be devided into PCB assembly, FPC assembly and PET assembly by the difference of the bare boards.
* PCB Assembly: PCBA
The substrate is rigid PCB. Assemble components on rigid circuit board to create a fully operational electronic circuit board assembly for the end device.
* FPC Assembly: FPCA
For FPCA, the bare circuit board is copper FPC. We assemble components on it to get a flexible functional circuit board assembly.
* PET Assembly: PETA
PETA is totalyy with PCBA and FPCA. Its substrate is the silver printed Polyester circuit layer. It is a kind of very thin film circuit. It is usually 0.1 to 0.188mm thickness.

The common used thickness is 0.125mm. For the PETA, it usually only can assemble resistors, capacitors, LEDs, and insertable connectors. PETA is usually used for membrane switches, sensors, capacitive switches etc.
