FPC Backpanel and PCB Backpanel

FPC backpanel and PCB backpanel are two kinds of different circuit control fixed panel for membrane switch.

FPC is a kind of printed circuit for membrane switch, its circuit substrate is made of PET, PC material. On which, printing conductive inks(silver,carbon or other conductive material), shape into a control circuit. It is flexiable , can be bent, also a little thin. The circuit part is comprsied of two layers, Upper circuit layer(conductive dome layer and lower control circuit layer). So FPC Backpanel mean its circuit and sticked to its fixed socket or flat panel together.

PCB is another kind of printed circuit for membrane switch, its circuit is etched out of a little thicker polyster panel coated with copper. Same to FPC one, its function is lower control circuit, electricity current transmit by copper strips on PCB board. It also has dome conductive layer on the upper layer. Since PCB board is stiff itself, not need reinforced. PCB backpanel mean its own.

FPC backpanel and PCB backpanel, which is used all depend on its applications. In some wearable device fields, FPC is first choosing, due to it is Flexiable, can be dent in some conditions. PCB can be taken into consideration for complex control panel, such as holdhome appliance fields.
